Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF)
PSSF is
a community-based outreach program of Jewish Family Services of Delaware
(JFS) provided through a grant from the Delaware Division of Family
Services Office of Prevention and Early Intervention.
The
program’s Family Consultant, who is thoroughly familiar with both the
needs and the resources within the community, offers information,
referrals, and practical support to families facing life transitions and
challenges. Program participants meet with the Family Consultant to
identify problems and goals, brainstorm for solutions, and follow their
individually tailored action plan.
The
goal of PSSF is to help families move beyond the temporary relief of
crisis alleviation to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence
necessary for independent problem-solving and family well-being.
