INTORDUCTION AND PURPOSE
New Castle County DFFC Launching Committee of the
Promoting Safe and Stable Families announces the availability of
Mini-Grants. Applications are invited from organizations interested
in implementing family support programming. We are looking for
programs that have a strong emphasis on engaging FATHERS or Father
Figures with children. Appropriate
programs can also address at
least (1) one of the
following:
· Reducing
stress in parents and enhancing parents skills
· Improving
parent/child relationships
· Building
healthy co-parenting relationships
· Drug
and alcohol education
Programs may be in various settings (ex. Community
centers, faith –based institutions, summer camps or educational
settings that service youth and encourage family involvement.
Applicants must demonstrate how funds will be used to expand or
enhance programs. Assurances must be made that the program will not
substitute federal, state, and local funds. Request must not exceed
$1500.00
