Job Description:
Duties vary but may include friendly visits, grocery
shopping, running errands, paperwork help or cooking a simple meal.
Hours are extremely flexible. You can make a difference
in the life of a lonely individual, isolated from the community and at
the same time make a difference in your own life.

PREPARE SIMPLE MEALS
FOR SOMEONE IN NEED
Job Description:
Occasionally, someone is ill or is recuperating from an
operation and is in need of a tasty and nutritious home-made meal.
If you enjoy cooking and are willing to donate the food
you prepare, this may be the volunteer opportunity for you.

BE A GUEST SPEAKER
(SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND INTERESTS)
Job Description:
Do you have a hobby you would like to share or
involvement in a project that you think others might like to learn more
about it?
We are looking for dynamic individuals who are willing to
make a one-time presentation to our GEM (Growth, Education & Mental
Fitness clients who are 50+ years old) group.

HELP CREATE EVENT
CENTERPIECES
Job Description:
Assist in assembling, wrapping and decorating
all-occasion gift baskets used for centerpieces for special events.
Baskets are used at Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, birthdays, etc. and
are created to match the décor of the party.
The centerpieces are filled with canned goods, CDs,
books, or whatever the contributor selects. All contents will be
donated to a community center, a shelter, a senior center – any
nonprofit needing the contents for its clients.

BE A
HANDYMAN/HANDYWOMAN
Job Description:
Assist an older adult or physically challenged individual
with little “fix ‘em ups” in their homes. Whether it’s mowing the lawn,
gardening, replacing light bulbs or cleaning the windows, no job is too
small. But the impact is huge!

Occasionally
FOR TWEENS & TEENS
Are you
preparing for your bar/bat mitzvah or require
community service
hours
for your school or organization? Or do you just want to
design your own volunteer experience? We
will help you plan your own individualized service project.
