ASK (Alphabet Soup Kids)

Delaware’s support & social group for LGBTQ+ Youth

The coming out process is tough enough and it essential to have a place our LGBTQ youth can turn to for help and support. ASK is an open support and social group for LGBTQ+ students ages 12-18 and all denominations are welcomed. There is no such group in our area apart from school-based GSA programs and JFS is proud to host this community group.

The group is facilitated by licensed professional counselor, Barbara P. Conrad, and Sharon Zimmer, who has an MS in Educational Counseling.

Meetings are held monthly on 1st and 3rd Saturdays.

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Support Group Meeting
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Social Hour

Caring Group

JFS’ Widow Support Group

In a small Jewish community, it can be difficult to find people who share your interests and experiences – it can be even harder to connect with those who can relate to your challenges and hardships. JFS wants to make it easier for people to find and connect with each other. If you have lost a spouse and are looking for support from people who share the experience, please consider joining JFS’ new Caring Support group for Jewish widows/widowers.

The group is facilitated by Pamela Stearn, LCSW. For more information, upcoming dates, and how to join, contact Pamela at 302-478-9411 or
