SILVER Initiative

JFS along with partners-Brandywine Senior Center at the Claymont Community Center, Christiana Care Health Services, Fox Rehabilitation, University of Delaware School of Nursing and Wilmington Senior Center-held a special event on November 20, 2008 at Jewish Family Services of Delaware announcing SILVER funded by the Administration on Aging.  Over 60 people were in attendance to  hear how this program will improve community living for the older residents of Delaware. The SILVER Initiative (Support for Independent Living and a Vital, Energetic Retirement) is an innovative program coordinating a broad range of social and health care services to support aging-in-place communities in New Castle County.
