Geoffrey L. | LCSW

Mental Health Therapist

Geoff Lee is an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. Before joining JFS, he worked in community mental health, and prior to that, he worked as an educator in post-secondary and EFL/ESL settings.

Geoff’s therapeutic work focuses on helping clients to heal traumatic wounds so that they can experience more openness and joy internally and by extension, in their relationships with others and the world around them. He has worked with clients navigating a range of issues, including major life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, and grief and loss, as well as the powerful emotions that accompany these experiences, such as heavy sadness/depression, loneliness, shame and guilt, and intense worry/anxiety.

Geoff knows that as the life around us shifts, or the life inside us does–or both do–we can find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and in pain. Wherever it’s coming from, whatever’s causing it, we’re sometimes left with the sense that things just aren’t right, and part of us wonders whether we ourselves are the problem, that we’re broken somehow. But Geoff also believes that that part isn’t alone: inside of each of us, there’s great wisdom and an immense capacity to understand and to heal, so that we feel more peace internally and experience more harmony as we navigate challenges, losses, relationships, stress, and whatever else life puts in our paths..

Geoff considers it an honor and a privilege to help you find and open up all the gifts that are inside of you.
