EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING (EMDR) THERAPY

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence‑based therapy that helps the brain process painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming.

Through guided eye movements or gentle bilateral stimulation, clients begin to release distress and rebuild a sense of safety. You remain awake, aware, and in control throughout every session.

Why Consider EMDR?

Trauma can leave people feeling stuck—revisiting the same memories, emotions, or fears over and over. EMDR helps interrupt that cycle by allowing the brain to integrate new truths:

  • I survived.
  • I am safe now.
  • I am not to blame.
  • I deserve compassion.

These shifts help clients move toward calmer, more balanced emotional experiences.

Before EMDR begins, our therapists use talk therapy to build trust, coping skills, and emotional readiness. We move at the client’s pace, always prioritizing safety, comfort, and empowerment.
