JFS Delaware is actively recruiting for the Affirmation Project, a support group for parents of questioning and queer youth.

  • LGBTQ+ Youth Need Our Support

    • 39% of LGBTQ+ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past twelve months
    • 71% of LGBTQ+ youth reported discrimination due to either their sexual orientation or gender identity
    • LGBTQ+ youth whose families affirm their gender identity and sexual orientation are almost 50 percent less likely to make a suicide attempt compared to those whose families are unsupportive
