Carmela is an Oncology Social Worker with Cancer Care Connection, an affiliate of JFS Delaware. In this position, she works closely with cancer patients, caregivers, and community partners to reduce cancer-related distress; Oncology Social Workers are dedicated to compassionately helping those affected by cancer navigate the full range of the issues they face, make informed decisions, and take action on their own behalf.
Throughout her long career, Carmela has previously been employed by Christiana Care, the Census Bureau, and Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services. She completed her education and training through Brandywine College, Wilmington University, and Widener University.
In her free time, Carmela stays active through kayaking, archery, hiking and travelling; she also enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and home remodeling. Carmela continues to serve the community, beyond her work as a therapist, volunteering at St. Patrick’s Center, Winterthur, the League of Women Voters, and the Delaware Grief Awareness Consortium.

Neyssa is a passionate, dedicated Community-Based Counselor at Jewish Family Services in New Castle County. She prides herself on using an integrative counseling approach to optimize support for youth, young adults, and their families. Recognizing the many challenges that the families face, she aims to always provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and motivational environment to lead her clients to successful outcomes.
Neyssa obtained her graduate degree from Springfield College, with a concentration in clinical mental health counseling. She uses a variety of approaches and theories to provide the most comprehensive support while providing current evidence-based treatment options.
Whether in a one-on-one setting or a group setting, Neyssa is committed to establishing trusting, healthy relationships with her clients so she can provide the most effective family services.

Dr. Saurabh Gupta is a board certified in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and has been practicing in the area since 2006 in inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to his part-time role with JFS, Dr. Gupta is the Medical Director at Rockford Center, an acute inpatient Psychiatric hospital focusing exclusively on working with children and adolescents.

Mone’t is a Community-Based Counselor at JFS, working with youth and their families in school, home, and community settings. A graduate of the University of Delaware and Liberty University, Mone’t says studying psychology and counseling has prepared her for working with different groups of people; it has helped her grow not only professionally, but personally as well. Helping people has always been her passion and Mone’t hopes to gain more growth throughout my career.
Mone’t is originally from Philadelphia, but relocated to Delaware during high school.

Older Adult Services & Cancer Care Connection
Susan is an Out-Patient Behavioral Therapist and Community Director of Family and Children Services at JFS. Her passion is to help the suffering work through their painful experiences and restore normal functioning. Susan proudly provides emotional and behavioral support in community settings, through treatment approaches tailored to meet the client’s needs; she believes in the possibility and ability of each individual to develop resiliency by drawing from their inner strengths.
Susan is a certified Parenting Education Facilitator and holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She has worked with children and adolescents for over 15 years in the teaching profession and previously worked for JFS as a Career Counselor for the FutureLink workforce development program.
Susan is a mother and loves spending time with family and friends. As a believer in possibilities, she is driven by the proverb, “Where there is a will, there is a way.”

David, a Care Manager with JFS, is a Registered Nurse with a BS in Nursing and a Master’s in Business Administration. His career includes a variety of staff, management and administrative positions in both hospital and long-term care settings. Prior to joining the JFS team, David served as the Director of Nursing with an Assisted Living Community in Hockessin, Delaware.
Lisa started her journey with JFS in October 2017 as a case manager, helping to empower at-risk families in crisis and assisting them in maximizing their potential. She was promoted into quality improvement roles—first as Quality Assurance Manager, then as Director of Performance & Quality Improvement—with a focus on QI, policies & procedures, outcomes reporting, accreditation, and risk management. Lisa recently obtained an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, helping to earn her a seat in the C-suite, where she has added human resources management and agency leadership responsibilities to her role.
Prior to JFS, Lisa was a certified alcohol and drug counselor who helped launch the Project Engage program at Christiana Hospital. The focus of her role was working with pregnant and postpartum women who were addicted to opioids, helping them access treatment and recovery options. Before Project Engage, Lisa spent nearly 20 years as a freelance copywriter with her own business, tackling marketing and advertising projects for a diverse range of industries.
Lisa has two sons. The oldest is in the Navy working on obtaining his pilot’s license and the youngest is a videographer who just started his own brand-building firm with a friend. She shares that her favorite hobbies are making faux flower arrangements (many of which decorate JFS’ office!) and working on puzzles.
Dr. Bill Fishbein is a Licensed Psychologist with over 40 years of clinical and management experience in the behavioral health field, obtained in a wide variety of outpatient, inpatient, and managed care settings. He collaborates with clients to identify and build on their strengths through developing skills, adaptive behavior patterns, and strategies to better cope with their unique life challenges and problems. He believes in a holistic approach in which mental health needs are addressed as an integral part of each client’s overall health care.

Marsha loves working at the front desk, greeting both staff and clients, answering the phones and directing callers to their needed destination. She has been with JFS for more than 25 years. She has her Master’s degree in education and taught elementary school before joining the JFS team. She lives with her husband and her very spoiled Pomeranian dog, Toby. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown daughters; as well as exercising, note writing, baking, traveling and organizing her home.
