Sue has a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland in Baltimore and a post graduate certificate in Professional Development on Healthy Aging from the Washington DC Area Geriatric Center.
Sue has worked throughout the continuum of care in the field of aging including nursing homes, medical adult day care, home health care and hospice. She moved to Sussex County full time from Maryland after retiring from The Montgomery County DHHS where she was Manager of the Medicaid Waiver for Older Adults/Community First Choice program. Sue has come out of retirement to work with JFS and is thrilled to help get older adult programming off the ground in Sussex County where the number of older adults is rapidly growing. She believes that the JFS’ older adult services can play an essential role in helping older adults to remain safely in their own homes.
